Here are some of the pictures from the celebrating day.

Veronique

Nkosi

Muedanyi – Here he is receiving applause from the faculty due to earning Cum Laude. Also, you’ll notice Muedanyi is giving a slight bow before the Chancellor of NMMU. Each graduate when called receives their diploma then walks across the stage and gives a bow before the Chancellor who in turn caps them or (touches their cap) with something that looks like a wand with a rounded cloth on the end. Then they walk to the end of the stage to receive their sash and take a picture.

Max

Stephen – Max and Stephen are both from Zimbabwe and were our eldest Christian Centre Students. I know they would appreciate prayer for the turmoil their country is in at this time.

Stephen and Stephen. :)

Max and Stephen

Nkosi and me. Isn’t she beautiful?

Nkosi with her mom and one of her older sisters.

Because I love these pictures of her.

Muedanyi and Nkosi. They’re inseparable. They’re such good friends of ours. We just love them.

Veronique and Nkosi

The whole bunch. Check out Veronique’s sassy dress.

Today the three of them received their 3-year diploma in Forestry Engineering. Both Muedanyi and Nkosi have continued to study for an additional year and will receive a degree come December. As far as we know, Muedanyi will continue on after that to obtain a Masters Degree. Veronique decided to jump into the working world and is a forester in a national forest in Knysna, about an hour away. In an earlier post here, you can see our visit to her home on top of the mountain.
