Outing with the Evans

On our way to Plettenburg Bay for the day we saw these classic beauties.

When was the last time you saw one of these!

Sean took Stephen on his first kayak experience….in the ocean no less! Poor Stephen had a head cold and didn’t have much energy, but he braved the cold waters…literally. After flipping the kayak and falling into the ocean, Stephen learned at a rapid rate what NOT to do again. That ocean water sure woke him up. He said it was FREEZING!

Check out that facial expression!

Stephen said it was a great time.

The beach is surrounded by mountains. It’s a little hard to see but it was a beautiful site. It’s been such a treat to see the mountains right next to the beach here. It’s simply a new natural beauty for us.

While the guys roughed it out in the water. We girls headed to this hotel that sits to the right of the beach, but is still on the water. We lounged here soaking in the sun and eating sushi with fresh lemonade. Now that’s my idea of a great time.

The view off their back patio.

Birds of Paradise. These flowers are very popular here. They must grow very well in this climate because we practically see them everywhere.

How relaxing does this pool look?

We stopped at a farm on the way home. I love the heart shape in this wood!
