At the end of May we held our first-semester Exam Prayer. We invited the whole campus to come join us in praise and prayer for the coming exams. This semester’s Exam Prayer was extra special because we had Liberty church team up with us to put on the event. Liberty church is the church where our chairman attends and has been such a support to us this year. They are excited about our ministry and persistent to help wherever they can. For this particular event they supplied the worship band and equipment. It was a huge success!

Justin (our chairman) opening the event by welcoming everyone.
Stephen then opened up for everyone in prayer.
Followed by worship.

We had a few of our upper classman give testimonies.

Pinky giving her testimony of relying on God above anything else.

Isaac giving the Gospel presentation in his own dynamic way.

Nkululeku sharing his heart of how good God is.

This was followed by our motivation speaker Waldo (from Liberty church) sharing on how each of us are God’s masterpiece (Ephesians 2:10) and how we should never quit reminding ourselves of this, but also never quit pursuing the good works God has prepared for us to do. As we reflect on who we are in God through Christ we are built up and then are able to go out and make a difference.

Sikhumbuzo, our assistant chair giving a rousing challenge for the students to never give up.
Pastor Randal our main speaker (whom I'm missing a picture of) shared on perseverance through difficult situations. A very good challenge for exam times! Afterward he give a call for salvation and 6 people came to know the Lord!!! Wahooo!

He was followed by our Christian Centre choir singing a couple of songs for everyone.

Yea…they can dance!
A video of our crew singing :)
Then we had another special performance done by a ministry Justin had connections with. They just happened to be coming into town at the same time as our event and were gracious enough to join us for our Exam Prayer. This ministry takes in guys who are addicted to various substances, rehabilitates them, and teaches them the love of Christ. Below are some of the men who have been through their program and now have a love and passion for sharing Christ with others through drama. They did two dramas the first was a powerful drama sharing the gospel in a very clear and concise way by showing how sin in our lives separates us from God. The second was a drama explained how sin affects our earthly relationships but also how if we’re not strong in the word those earthly relationships will lead us into sin through temptation. Both dramas were very moving skits that the students related to and connected with.

One of the addicts who is now on fire for God.

The drama of Christ rescuing us from our sin.
The time was closed out with Cedric praying for our group and giving a call for students to come forward for individual prayer.
There were over 100 people in attendance and everything went so well. Praise the Lord for ending the semester in such a powerful way!
